Minutes

  • Will do next call on January 10th
  • CDT 9.2 RC4 available. Final release December 21st with Neon.2
  • Neon.3 in March with CDT 9.2.1
  • CDT 9.3/Oxygen in June 2017
    • Can use Oxygen APIs on CDT master branch
    • Update target file to Oxygen. Doug will notify the list first.
  • Auto-generation of source features
    • Change being attempted. Hoping to post patch soon.
    • Will remove all feature-source plugins and have them generated automatically by tycho for all of CDT
    • Step in simplifying releng maintenance
  • Linker script editor
    • Stable version aimed by end of year
    • Will have its own feature
    • Using XText (will bring new dependencies)
    • Aimed for CDT 9.3/Oxygen as a preview release.
    • Demo at next CDT call
  • Full GDB Console
    • Ready for 9.2 release, for Linux with both non-stop and all-stop
    • Errors are not shown on new CLI. Those errors may be coming on MI. To be investigated
  • CDT Datasheet was updated to include refactoring section https://wiki.eclipse.org/images/0/09/CDT_Datasheet.pdf
    • Will add datasheet to product page
  • Doug presented the CDT at Embedded Software Engeneering conference in Germany
    • Most attendees were Eclipse users
    • Lots of tools on display there, silicon vendors, many showing products based on Eclipse but not saying it is Eclipse
  • Marc and Marc-Andre were at Embedded Scandanavia conference
    • Also many vendors showing tools based on CDT
    • Marc presented Debug to a full room.
  • Course at University of Toronto uses CDT to teach
    • Jeff can put us in contact to get some input from new users
