Due to Martin Luther King Day public holiday, next meeting will be January 26th, 2009.
BIRT 2.3 SR2 Development (Spring Maintenance Release)
BIRT 2.3 SR2 (BIRT 2.3.2) development continues on track. 321 Bugzilla items are currently scheduled for the release.
General Information for BIRT 2.3 SR2
BIRT 2.3 SR2 is the second maintenance release for BIRT 2.3. It is part of the coordinated Service Release for the Ganymede project. More information on the coordinated release can be found in the Service Release section of the Ganymede pages.
BIRT 2.3 SR2 is scheduled for a February 25, 2009 release date.
The designation for this release is BIRT 2.3 SR2, with the version number as BIRT 2.3.2.
The Eclipse BIRT Project Development Plan for 2.3.2 is available. The Milestone schedule for the release is available in the Service Release timeline section of the Ganymede project page (BIRT is a "+2" project in this schedule).

BIRT 2.5 Development
We continue to work on a draft plan for the 2.5 release. We are working through the Bugzilla items and looking at what can be completed in the release timeframe. We now anticipate posting the draft in January.
Some provisional planning has been completed via Bugzilla. To review, refer to Bugzilla using Target = 2.5 and Keyword "Plan"
As always, if anyone in the community has input, please create a Bugzilla item.
General Information for BIRT 2.5
BIRT 2.5 is the next major release of the BIRT project. It is part of the Galileo Simultaneous Release.
The Development Plan for the BIRT 2.5 release is not yet available. Watch this space.

EclipseCon
EclipseCon planning has been completed for the BIRT and reporting related sessions. We have a number of good sessions accepted on BIRT and related technology with:
1 x Main Stage session 1 x 4 Hour Tutorial 2 x 1 Hour Sessions 4 x 25 Minute short sessions
Overall there are more that 250 sessions at EclipseCon 2009, so it looks like being another great event. For more information, see http://www.eclipsecon.org/2009/.
