Hi NNN,

You are a member of the Eclipse Architecture Council, but we haven't seen any relevant activity of yours in the past 3 months.
+
As we’ve just added a couple new members to the Eclipse Architecture Council,
 +
we’ve taken the opportunity to walk through our member list and do some cleanups.

In order to keep the AC working and vibrant, we need to know which members are actually willing to participate in the council's work. We have therefore defined a [[Architecture Council/Dormant Status|dormant status [1]]] as an administrative measure for tracking activity.
+
I’ve noticed that we haven’t heard from you recently, so I’ve moved you into the [[Architecture Council/Dormant Status|Dormant Status]]for now [1].

You are about to become dormant, which means that we're not going to wait for your vote in case of elections, and we're not going to personally invite you for any events. You can exit dormant status at any time just by sending an E-Mail to the [mailto:eclipse.org-architecture-council@eclipse.org eclipse.org-architecture-council@eclipse.org] mailing list, and editing the [[Architecture Council/Members and Mentors|Members Wiki Page [2]]] moving yourself up to active.
+
The goal here is to have projects interested in getting mentorship know who’s actually “plugged in”
 +
and willing to take mentorships; plus, making sure that in case we’re holding a vote (for a new member)
 +
where we need 50% quorum, new members aren’t held back due to inactive non-voters.

You are representing the NNN PMC, and we consider it important to have representatives of all PMC's active on the Architecture Council. We'd therefore appreciate if you'd get active again, or consider nominating a different representative of your PMC as an AC member.
+
So from that point of view, following the mailing list and taking part in AC votes is my only
 +
real criterion for moving you back to active again. I’d appreciate if you are still interested.
 +
Just let me know, and I’ll move you back into normal state.

Please let me know if you have any questions. The AC work has been very interesting in the past 3 months, and we do need committed, bright people with a broad understanding and background to bring the Eclipse Platform forward. Investing in the Eclipse Architecture at-large is something that we'll all benefit from, and we all learn a lot from the cross-project work.

Subject: Dormant on the Eclipse Architecture Council ?

Hi NNN,

As we’ve just added a couple new members to the Eclipse Architecture Council, we’ve taken the opportunity to walk through our member list and do some cleanups.

I’ve noticed that we haven’t heard from you recently, so I’ve moved you into the “Dormant Status” for now [1].

The goal here is to have projects interested in getting mentorship know who’s actually “plugged in” and willing to take mentorships; plus, making sure that in case we’re holding a vote (for a new member) where we need 50% quorum, new members aren’t held back due to inactive non-voters.

So from that point of view, following the mailing list and taking part in AC votes is my only real criterion for moving you back to active again. I’d appreciate if you are still interested. Just let me know, and I’ll move you back into normal state.
