The EclipseLink committers have a regular meeting (currently weekly) to discuss ongoing development issues and projects. All interested parties are welcome to attend. If you have any additional items you wished discussed please add them at the bottom of the agenda including a brief description and any relevant links. Alternatively development issues can be discussed on the EclipseLink Dev mailing list.

* When adding agenda items please send an email to the eclipselink-dev@eclipse.org list notifying attendees. This will ensure attendees are aware of agenda items prior to the meeting.

Status updates

  • 1.0 Release Date
    • Target June 1st for 1.0 ship date
  • IP Review (EclipseLink/IPLog)
    • EclipseLink code being reviewed
    • EclipseLink/Dependencies - All approved. Still need PMC approval for 3rd party dependencies - Doug
    • Main TopLink Contribution awaiting final approval
      • Review on going.
      • IdentityMapHashMap removed to progress IP Review
      • UUIDGenerater being moved to ASM directory, and new CQ opened.
    • Workbench CQ Approved
    • UserGuide CQ Approved
  • Dual Licensing with BSD
    • Awaiting BSD availability. Working with Eclipse Foundation legal
    • Will update all source in SVN and CQ with dual license header when available
  • OSGi Proof of Concept (Bug 210979)
    • Propose a demo and walkthrough of the POC followed by a discussion on moving EclipseLink development to OSGi. Time TBD.
    • Teneo EMF/EclipseLink integration code running on POC bundles. Will be submitting code for IP review and will continue building based on the expectation of EclipseLink bundles in 1.0 release.
    • Wiki page added with POC status, demos, and usage instructions.
    • Branch Created in SVN for exploration of EclipseLink as OSGi bundles.
    • POC running simple JPA and JAXB 2.0 apps in pure OSGi environment--no Equinox extensions used.

  • Automated build
    • Tests added to the continuous build
      • So far core SRG added,
  • Automated Testing - Tom
    • Nightly build runs Core SRG, JPA LRG, MOXy LRG, SDO LRG
    • 11 test failures on Core LRG - do not fail on local run, so are related to build machine
    • JPA, MOXy, SDO and DBWS SRGs are needed
    • Publication of test results
      • HTML version of Core SRG results published with each build
      • Publication required for JPA LRG, MOXy LRG, SDO LRG
  • Foundation and JPA Status
    • Deployment XML rework - Guy
      • JPA schema now using MOXy
  • Mapping Workbench
  • OXM, JAXB, SDO - Blaise D
  • Documentation Status - Rick S
  • Maven - Mitesh
    • Maven uploads now occur nightly
    • Currently even milestone builds upload as "SNAPSHOT". Some debugging required.

  • Need to provide projected release date. Planning for first half of 2008. Waiting for JAXB 2.1 compliance estimates - Doug
