Next Version of Gendoc
- Latest release : Gendoc 0.6.0
- Next version : Gendoc 0.7.0 or 1.0.0
To switch to 1.0.0, we need to perform some analysis / refactor before switching :
- API cleaning => a page on the wiki will be created to list what is needed for this work
- Effort on XML cleaning and adaptation to other format (like wiki tags)
Need to be maybe make some restrictions on the tag location
Roadmap ideas
this list shall be refined in next meetings to determine what could be integrated in the roadmap
- improve stability
- API refactoring, API freezing
- contribute more users templates
- power point
- queries for Papyrus
- polymorphism in Gendoc (gerrit review pending)
- improve documentation for emf image file and improve the plugin
- document differences and revision bar
- give more information documentation about rich text support
- document fields usage (page number ...)
- queries in the document
- include tag for open document
- be compatible with documentation view in Papyrus (new queries ?)
- contribute a Gendoc doc plugin
- push a project on Gendoc repository for template sharing
- Improve error reporting. (Note:Added by Antonio after the meeting)
Committer synchronization
- before starting bug fix, change assignee to notify other committers
User Community
- creating videos to explain Gendoc, apply styles, ...
- conferences / events : list ideas or events to meet community. It could be nice to present Gendoc in Papyrus days at Ericsson
