Acceleo/Traceability

Traceability

Acceleo features a generation engine that can computes the traceability data during the generation. It can be activated thanks to the launch configuration and the result can be seen in the result view.

Activating the Traceability

The traceability engine can be activated by selecting the Traceability Launcher in the launch configuration of Acceleo as shown in the next image.

The result view

The result of the traceability is visible in the result view. In order to obtain the traceability informations, the result view has to be activated prior to the launch of the generation. In the Result view, you can see all the generated files and the elements from the input models used to generated each regions of the file with the region from the generator.

Link with the Acceleo editor

With the traceability informations in the result view, you can click in the Result view to see in real time in the Acceleo editor the area generated by the selected element.
